Montego Dunes has the intimate feel of a small community but residents do not have the obligations of homeowner’s association dues and regulations. This non-gated subdivision has 117 single-family homes that were built in 2003 and early 2004. Located in Southwest Indio, it’s close to many activities and venues.
The great affordability and scenic mountain views add up for a great place to live. Many of these stucco homes have an inspired southwest or Hacienda touch to them. Residents love the flowing, open floor plan and tall ceilings. Upgrades often include new carpeting, custom tile flooring, ceiling fans, and custom-made blinds. You’ll find a cozy fireplace on a stack stone wall and many homes have wet bars for entertaining.
The front and back of each lot involves low maintenance desert landscaping and some of the covered patios run the full length of the property. For those hot California days, the sparkling pool is a sight for sore eyes; and your sore muscles will appreciate the private spa. Summer temperatures can spike over 100 degrees but average around 89 degrees in the evening.
The City of Indio has some amazing sights and offers so many activities. There are biking and hiking trails as well as over 200 golf courses in this area. Cultural activities abound including eight festivals that are held each year. Shopping, fine dining, theaters, and casinos are also nearby. La Quinta is only a few minutes by car and Palm Desert is only twenty minutes away.
This neighborhood sends students to educational facilities in the Desert Sands USD School District like Truman Elementary, Indio Middle School, and La Quinta High School. It’s only minutes to stores like Costco, Target, Big Lots, Auto Zone, Walgreens, and Wal-Mart as well as medical facilities.
